In the past, I may have seen a Northern Flicker in the backyard once a year, but this year he has been coming back consecutive days, going on day six!

I’m jealous…I have had Flickers in my yard almost every day for years, but I have yet to have even one of them visit one of my feeders.
Beautiful catch! My Flickers here in central North Carolina are lacking the red cheeks and shafts.
