Both Kestrel parents were so dedicated, bringing crickets, gresshoppers, other bugs, and the occasional mouse to the babies. One time I witnessed a food exchange where baby had his head far out of the box to receive a cricket, but then dropped it, but the parent didn't notice. An unhappy baby!
