Description

Ever since I put up my feeders, birds would wait in the nearby spruce tree for their turn. Although many birds enjoyed the shelter it provided, Mourning Doves loved this tree the most. They would spend up to the entire day here, relaxing, preening, sleeping, and getting close to each other. Up to 30 Mourning Doves could be found in this tree, rotating around the tree as they followed the sun’s rays from east to west for maximum comfort. Sometimes they would spend the night here, or even feel comfortable enough to mate in front of curious onlookers. This tree has provided my doves with so much, and I am thankful for the dove’s and tree’s presence in my life.
