Description

Harris’s Sparrows are seldom seen in Colorado. I saw one in my yard several years ago, and not since. My partner always makes fun of me and says that Harris’s Sparrow is my boyfriend, and has he come back to visit? Finally he did, just yesterday, and on my Feederwatch day to boot! You can clearly see the lovely striation in his crown, and if you look closely he is just swallowing a sunflower seed. We had a lot of snow, which often brings out unusual visitors. Not only did this guy show up, but we got a Song Sparrow and White-crowned Sparrow too.
