Description

These dear little guys are new to our garden. I have no clue as to what they are. My late husband ( gone almost three years) and I always put out winter feeders and grow lots of birds and other pollinator plants to round out our vegetable garden. I hope the pair stay around and make our garden their home.

New To Birds

sorry the shot is from so far away...this little guy and his pal have been hanging around for weeks now. I've been bringing my camera out to the gazebo in the morning but when I get up to take a shot he flits away. I've never seen these birds in our garden before; who are they?

It looks like a Red-breasted Nuthatch. You should get yourself a Field Guide to Eastern birds to learn more about identifying field marks and how to use them to ID birds.
