Northern Flicker
Woodpeckers & Sapsuckers
I have never been lucky enough to see a Flicker anywhere except on the ground. Nice pic.
Hi Bob:
I use a extra long tail prop 2-cake suet feeder to attract the large woodpeckers like the Northern Flickers and Pileateds. My birdbath is next to the suet feeder. So when they are done feeding they jump over and get a drink.
