I, kept reading about birds. and I just love when they describe beaks,, Who has time to look at the beak and see that slightly curved beak,, the clue!! Well,, I must admit,, this bird is very, very,,swift..

Species: Northern Shrike
A Northern Shrike, on a Feeder Watch day.
Thought I heard a cat crying outside, but when I looked out saw this fella high in the tree by my deck. He was intently watching the small birds feeding on the snow covered deck! And yes, the curved beak and black tail were the things I spotted.
