Description

The other morning my two young daughters and I were looking out the window to count birds for Project Feeder Watch when we didn’t see a bird at all. The deer thought it was really convenient how we had hung the “bird” feeder right at mouth level so he didn’t have to be bothered with reaching and stooping. Afterwards, he had some nice red berries for dessert from our berry bush.

Not Just For The Birds…

The other morning my two young daughters and I were looking out the window to count birds for Project Feeder Watch when we didn't see a bird at all. The deer thought it was really convenient how we had hung the "bird" feeder right at mouth level so he didn't have to be bothered with reaching and stooping. Afterwards, he had some nice red berries for dessert from our berry bush. I thought our bird seed was disappearing a little too quickly...

When my little granddaughter told me about taking this picture I told her that the deer that eat enough bird seed can fly. That is how Santa gets the reindeer to fly, she now calls the deer at the bird feeder reindeer.
