Description

We refilled the feeders after a two week hiatus due to the presence of a sick finch. We have had many birds after putting out oranges, mixed seed in the hanging platform feeder, raisins in a tray feeder, thistle seed in the finch feeders and sugar water in the hummingbird feeders. The desert birdbath was cleaned and refilled. We also added six pine cones coated with peanut butter and birdseed hung at a medium height (about eight feet) and spaced several feet apart. This has helped the birds to “social distance” and reduced crowding at the thistle seed feeders.
