Pinyon Jay flock with newest addition. Is this a piebald?
Unusual feathers & bills
Newest addition to our local flock of Pinyon Jays. Is this considered a piebald? He has white marks on both cheeks and a small one on top of his head.
If anyone knows I am curious, are these genetic markings or do you think the white feathers grew in from an injury?
I think it is leucism.
