While on a trip to Florida I washable to go to the location where the rare Whooping Crane was spending the winter. I feel I was very fortunate in that I was able to see the Crane as well as photograph it. It truly was a “Red Letter Day” for me. I am submitting the photo so that other bird lovers can view the rather rare bird.
I took the photo of the Whooping Crane while on visit to the Gainesville area of Florida on January 30th. It was taken on a place called the Beef Teaching Unit on the east side of SW 23rd St. off 0f Williston, Road
