A first for our yard.
Woodpeckers & Sapsuckers
Species: Red-bellied Woodpecker
Lifetime species number 158 for our yard. First seen Nov 14th 2024 in a neighbours tree but it showed up Nov 17th at our feeders to make it a first for our FeederWatch count. They are known to be around the area but not numerous.
Nice! The only woodpecker I have had at my feeder is a Downy Woodpecker who rarely comes. We have 184 for our neighborhood list so far.
