Snowy days are the only time Red-winged Blackbirds come to the backyard feeders (3/14/17).

Looks like you had some snow, Laura! Missed us completely this far south and west. Sure is hard to get a good exposure of the black bird and and white snow, isn’t it. Your set of snow shots is excellent. bobvuxinic at frontiernet dot net
Thanks, Bob! It is hard to get a decent photo with the snowy background – I’m never 100% thrilled with the way they turn out. We got 7 inches of snow here after being teased with no snow and mild temps all through the previous winter months, but I guess we got lucky because they were initially calling for 14 to 18 inches!
