Description

Yesterday 6 robins swooped in. There are large swaths of robins that winter in the area but they don’t usually come to my feeder. But I had put out elderberries that I cut in a nearby swamp, as my property is too dry to grow this native plant. And this robin was standing on the ground and kept leaping up to snag a berry.

I have a Robin in my tray feeder the past two weeks.
My back yard has many holly trees that feed up to 100 robins all winter. Then it switches to few on the lawn in spring. But never on the feeder.
