Can bees be discouraged from drinking from the hummingbird feeder? Do they hurt the birds?
Hi Patricia, Bees should have no adverse effects on your feeder, though we recommend cleaning it thoroughly every time you take it down to refill it (every two to five days, depending on the outdoor temperatures). The bees are likely pollinators of the flowers and other plants that the hummingbirds usually visit.
