First ever documented/confirmed Snowy Owl in Jefferson County, WV – right down the road from my house! I’d driven all over the place this winter trying to see one (multiple trips to Maryland and Delaware), but I had had no luck. Then, I hear of one hanging out on some farms about 10 miles from my house! So glad I got to see it!

Thank you, Bob! I was so lucky because the owl had been staying way out in the field, and it was foggy and rainy, so the first photos I got weren’t too great. Later in the day I went by again after the sun came out a bit, and the owl had moved to some trees fairly close to the road which allowed me to capture these shots. It made my year!!!
