Description

Off and on for a couple of weeks 4 pair of Mallard Ducks have visited my sight near dusk to feed on the cracked corn on the ground. This evening, 4:15 local they showed up with a guest. My first thought, Strange looking Mallard, colors in the wrong place and too much white. So, broke out binoculars and camera and sure enough, “guest” was an American Wigeon” drake, (white face/crown, green mask, white belly, black tail). Left with the other ducks at 4:45. Apologize for the poor quality photos, very low light, Now, I’ll be on the lookout.
