Every year I usually see an Eastern Towhee cruise through our backyard, then quickly disappear. This spring, however, one of these beauties showed up and stayed for 3 days, turning over dead leaves looking for bugs, and hopping around at the base of my feeder set up snacking on dropped safflower seeds. A real treat for him, and for me too!
