My son lives in Goodyear, Arizona in the Estrella neighborhood. For the last few weeks, he has seen on the lakes at Estrella up to 50 white pelicans at one time. The locals say they usually see one or two migrating pelicans for a day or two at a time but for some reason this year they seem to have taken up residence. Is this a normal behavior and do they do this in other parts of the Phoenix area or is this as unusual as it seems?
