Description

I decided to try photographing birds at a feeder using a different camera and a remote shutter (I was thinking about the coming winter and how nice it would be to stay nice and warm indoors while photographing birds outside). I was able to get a few fairly acceptable photos, but the “keepers-to-losers” ratio was so bad that I’ve decided to bite the bullet and get the shots the old fashioned way, where I freeze my tail off. It’s just too much better to aim the camera second to second and control the point of focus, than to simply hope that the birds will be positioned in the ideal spot for the camera’s auto-focus capability to work well.
