On 11/7/2024 we watched as all wildlife sought refuge when an owl arrived in our yard. It was joined by crows which seemed very unusual. Later that same day as we were about to put dinner on the grill, a large bull moose walked up and proceeded to eat the sunflower seeds from a tray we placed below the feeder to keep the seeds out of the snow. He ate for about 10 minutes and then was joined by a 2nd bull moose.

We placed an old sled under the bird feeder to catch seed. Last night a moose walked up and starting eating all the seed in the sled. He was there for about 10 minutes. Our feeders have always been hung high enough to be bear proof but they are not moose proof.
