Description

This Red-bellied female’s bill is quite deformed, but she has been coming to my feeders for a couple years now, and looks healthy; thus, doesn’t seem to be bothered very much by the deformity. I see her most often at the tray feeders that I have up, so perhaps she finds it easier to get food from the mix on the tray feeder then from the suet cakes that seem to be the preference of the other woodpeckers.
