Description

On my final day of the FeederWatch season, I was getting ready quit my bird counting for the day, and the year. As the sun was low in the sky and it was getting dark, I took my final look out the window, and what to my wondering eyes should appear…..
A Yellow-rumped Warbler at last did appear,
As a colorful end to my FeederWatch year!

At first, I thought it was one of the Yellow-throated Warblers that have stuck around all week, but then, I said, “It doesn’t have a yellow throat, and looked again to confirm that it was, indeed, the first Yellow-rumped Warbler that I’ve seen this year. I was able to get one quick blurry shot through the window before it flew off…a surprise ending to my FeederWatch season.
