Participant Photo: 2nd bobcat visit during a November 2023 feeder count day

This is the 2nd time a young (not full grown) bobcat has visited during a feeder watch day. The first time she caught a white-winged dove. The second visit, Monday, Nov 27 she missed her initial attempt and decided to hide behind a bush in the patio. A few Gambel’s quail returned, and as she was nearing an opportunity, a Cooper’s Hawk flew over and all the birds flew off. She made an attempt at one and then went to the bird bath for a drink.
