March 16, 2024-special Bird Event held every year–our first time attending. A little disappointing at first–
When our guide pointed to empty waterways, and told us that the hundreds of waterfowl that had been there the week before had all left on early migration because of early warm weather. The White Pelicans and Great Blue Heron rookery was all the wildlife we saw except for the Bald Eagles flying over our heads –and that was really great! There were many activities– like making bird houses, dissecting owl pellets, live bird show, and more. My family- especially the Great-grandchildren enjoyed it all !
