Participant Photo: A young Summer Tanager male
Additional images:
On September 23, 2015, I was visited by an immature Summer Tanager male in its formative plumage. He made several visits to different feeders during the day, but it was only a one-day visit; he never reappeared on subsequent days. I wish he would return when he grows up in his adult plumage.

I believe this is what I had on my suet feeder last summer. It was such a beautifully colored bird. Is there somewhere I can send the picture I took to verify it ?
Hi Jeri,
You can submit your photo here on the participant photos gallery, or you can send it to feederwatch@cornell.edu. We’d be happy to help.
