Participant Photo: Anna’s humming bird raising chicks

The Anna’s hummingbird nest I have been watching for a couple of weeks now has two chicks. This morning I managed to get some shots of them being fed and it’s amazing how much of the mother’s bill they can swallow.
The Anna’s stay here all year even though we regularly get snow and freezing temperatures. The nest is located at Buttertubs Marsh but I have been keeping the exact spot a secret so she won’t get disturbed.
