Participant Photo: Birds at the feeder January 3 & 4, 2014

My first time participating in Project Feederwatch! My two observation days coincided with a big snowstorm, so there was a lot of traffic at the feeders. It was also extremely cold (for NY state), and everybody was fluffed up. Our guest of honor was a tiny, extremely energetic male ruby-crowned kinglet. There were a lot of these earlier this fall at a nearby nature preserve, but I have never before had a kinglet visit my feeders during winter.
