Participant Photo: Birds on the Creek!

This was a trial of patience to get these photos. With my simple monocular which takes the best photos within a couple feet away plus with the fact that Killdeers and Louisiana Waterthrushes are shy birds this was tough. Sitting on a rocky island in the middle of a shallow creek I would sit for hours at a time going out at sunrise and sunset. Finally on the evening of the last day the killdeer birds got my trust, and I got this perfect shot. Meanwhile the Waterthrushes were stubborn, and I didn’t as close to them.
