Participant Photo: Common Redpolls in the Idaho Mountains
Additional images:
These common redpolls visited my feeders last winter (2012-2013). They brighten my Project Feederwatch days (and non-counting days) with their presence as I only get to see them in the winters when there is a strong irruption out of Canada. I live in a sheltered valley at 4,000 feet and am surrounded by mountains. It seems amazing that these birds can wing their way south and find my feeders, but they do!
