This Cooper’s Hawk got a Brown-headed Cowbird that was at my feeder this day. Just before that happened I saw it land in a tree bordering my yard, which in itself was really novel, because I normally won’t see the hawks until they are swooping down to get a bird. Of course, when they go after a bird, the movement is too fast for me to frame or focus, so I was happy to get a decent photo of this guy while it was sitting still.
