As I was setting up my notebook to record my species a flood of goldfinches entered my backyard. They just kept coming. As I observed the birds for counting a Coopers Hawk swooped in and snatch one of the finches. The hawks will frequent my feeders and attempt to get a bird, but this is the first time I was able to observe this type of action LIVE.
