Participant Photo: Early Visitor
It was barely past daybreak with the sun still behind the hills and tall trees to the left when this solitary Snowy Egret made his way towards me. There were dozens of other Snowy and Great Egrets off in the distance but for some reason, this one strayed several hundred yards away from the others.
