Participant Photo: Female Northern Cardinal
A female Northern Cardinal was lurking on the big old winterberry, possibly checking out the ripeness of the berries. The fruit aren’t ripe yet, at least the robins and waxwings haven’t appeared en masse, although the robins periodically send a scout to check.
