Participant Photo: Female Rusty Blackbird

I’ve never seen any Rusty Blackbirds in the six years I’ve been feeding and watching birds in Nottingham Maryland. Maybe the worse than normal Winter pushed them to areas they don’t normally feed. With all the Grackles, Red Winged Blackbirds, Brown-headed Cowbirds and Starlings hoarding the area because of harsh weather I wouldn’t be surprised if there where males that I just didn’t notice.
