Participant Photo: Female Williamson’s Sapsucker
This female Williamson’s Sapsucker visited during my 2/1/20 and 3/7/20 count periods, which was noted as unusual when I entered my data. I was able to get a terrible photo at that time, so set up the spotting scope and waited for her to return. She did and we took this picture with a smart phone through the scope on 2/10/20. Still not the greatest photo but at least you can tell what she is! She visits the same pinon tree which appears to be ringed with sap wells. This has been the highlight of this PFW season, which is the first one at our new home.
