So surprized to see Gambel’s Quail in COLORADO! What a special treat to find this out from your fantastic photo! The one on the right has similar coloring to the Scaled Quail I am happy to say are neighborhood residents since we’ve lived in Pueblo West for 27 years. I have seen Gambel’s in Phoenix AZ, but hopefully some of these Gambel’s Quail will migrate towards Pueblo Reservoir someday!
