Participant Photo: Giant Red Tailed Hawk or Eagle?

We live on a creek and have a mated pair of Great Horned Owls, the occasional bald eagle, ducks, hawks, etc. I saw this guy the other night and cant figure out what it is! It absolutely looks like a red tailed hawk but it was massive, we at first mistook it for the owl in a tree because of the size. Huge, much larger than any hawk i have seen around. Any feedback is welcome, perhaps its just a giant hawk?

Red-Tailed Hawk
sighted over our house this week. we live near a creek, The Conn0doguinet Creek,North Middleton Township. we have a lot of squirrels in our yard and trees. The hawk left one of it’s feathers in our yard. Such a beautiful feather; brown with a black band horizontally, about 7″ long.
