Participant Photo: Grackle likes to dip a nut in the water !
I watched this Grackle come down from the feeder and go to the water and dip the nut into the water.
I saw this Grackle do it 2 times. I have never seen this behavior before.

My grackles do this all the time. They do that to soften their food to break it into smaller pieces so it’s easier to eat.
