Participant Photo: Great Blue under bird feeder
This heron was predating chipmunks who were eating spilled seed under my bird feeders. It ate two.
I tried to submit this photo to verify my count submission when you questioned the species in this context (I was surprised, too, but I have been seeing this for several weeks now.)
