Participant Photo: Hummingbird with Siberian Irises
I went out with my camera one May morning and walked toward the forest, where I crossed paths with a gray fox the day before without my camera. No fox. But as I walked back toward some of the bird-attracting trees in my yard, I saw a hummingbird perched on a limb overhead. I couldn’t get my camera to focus for a solid picture, so I made my way to the Siberian Irises in bloom. I was snapping away when look who followed me over! I was able to nab a series of shots of the hummingbird dancing among the Irises, including this one, which has fast become one of my favorite pictures for its vivid color.
