March 2, and I’m finally back online after the recent unpleasant weather experience here in Crossville, TN. After five days of freezing rains, snows, and more freezing rains, the power lines and trees couldn’t stand any more, and if the lines themselves didn’t break due to the weight of ice, the toppling trees took them down. I lost power on Feb 21st, which was the day I shot this photo. To me it looked like the pair of American Goldfinches on the feeder (if you can spot them) were inside a jail cell. Incidentally, I feel fortunate, because are many, many people in the region who are still without electricity.
