Participant Photo: Indigo Bunting male during breeding season
This is the best photo that I’ve ever gotten of a male Indigo Bunting in the trees during the breeding season. It was actually fairly early in the Spring, and I had been seeing plenty of males that had not completed molting into their breeding colors, but this fellow was pretty much there.
