Participant Photo: It has to be down there somewhere
This Cooper’s Hawk attacked a White-winged Dove feeding on the ground. Amazingly, the dove was able to escape from its clutches and fly off. The hawk then flew up to this nearby wire and looked down at where its would-be prey had been, seemingly perplexed.
