Participant Photo: Lesser Goldfinch?

I have been seeing what appears to be Lesser Goldfinches mixed in with American Goldfinches. The contrast is very sharp with black backs and darker heads as opposed the the lighter color of the American Goldfinches. This picture submitted is not too clear but may be enough to determine if it is a Lesser. I know a Lesser would be unusual in this area but I have been watching birds for years and have never seen this kind of color contrast among flocks of finches before.
