Participant Photo: Lewis’s in the Snow
I am spending most of this winter in the SW portion of Colorado. There are a pair of Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers regularly and my neighbor told me he saw a Lewis’s Woodpecker but I didn’t believe him until a large flash of green arrived at my suet feeder. What a wonderfully colored (and big!) bird.
