I always have my window feeders up every spring for the bright yellow american gold finch. This spring I saw a rare finch. Identical to the black cap male…except where it should be yellow..it was WHITE. I searched all my bird books, but could not find that finch. I even summoned a family member to have a look to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. It fed for about 5 minutes and that was the last I saw of him.
