Participant Photo: Long-eared Owl
Another blessed sighting was this Long-eared Owl out in the open. Some off leash dogs accidentally flushed him from his roost. I saw the flash of the Owl take flight and watched him land a short distance away. As the dogs left the area, the Owl took flight again back to his hiding spot.
