Participant Photo: Loud & Clear!

This shot was gotten recently in Anderson
County KY. I had heard several Water Thrushes
‘talking’ back and forth in a relatively small area
before actually spotting one. I decided to have
a sit-down and about 10 minutes later, this little
fella flew onto this perch about 35 feet away
and proceeded to ‘blast my ears off!’ He stayed
here long enough for several stills and even
a short video before moving on to a nearby location
to sing away some more. Hard to believe a small
bird such as this can project such a loud voice.
