This fellow has been hanging around my feeders for weeks now. With his odd coloration, he’s really easy to spot, so I’ve been able to track his behavior. Without red coloring, he is not going to be successful with the ladies, and, yes, I’m being anthropomorphic about him, but I’m beginning to think he realizes this and has adopted a compensatory eating disorder, because all he does is sit at one feeder or another and eat, all day long, day after day. I swear I can see him getting fatter and fatter as the days go by.
